For Controling Your Energy Production
On Grid System
On Grid System - Also known as Grid Tie Solar System, Rooftop / Ground Mounted Solar System with Net Metering and Direct Solar System without Batteries. These types of Solar Systems are best suited for areas with minimal to no power cuts as they function directly during the day when the sun is shining bright and are predominantly installed for reducing electricity consumption & bills in Urban Households, Schools, Commercial Offices & Industrial Setups by connecting the solar system with the electricity grid for net metering benefits.
When installed by residential consumers, they may have a component of SUBSIDY or GRANT from the government and have depreciation & tax benefits for non-residential customers.
A best case scenario would be for a SCHOOL or FACTORY wherein during lean season or holiday's, the school will become a net exporter of energy as its consumption will be less than production.
Off Grid System
Off Grid System - Also known as Battery Based Solar Systems, Solar System without grid connectivity and Solar System with Battery Backup. These types of Solar Systems are best suited for areas with little to no power of their own or as one may call, areas that are OFF GRID.
These systems are designed to supplement the power needs of a customer who may or may not be connected to the electricity grid but is experiencing excessive power cuts and for whom Solar is the only option to carry out their basic & daily activities.
These kinds of systems are not supported by any type of SUBSIDY or GRANT however offer depreciation & other tax benefits to the end customer.
A best case scenario would be for a SCHOOL in a village that gets electricity only for 4 hours a day and hence needs Solar Power for the balance of their operational hours for which they have no option but to turn to Solar Energy.
Hybrid System
Hybrid Solar System - Also known as On Grid Solar Plant with Battery Backup, Solar Plant with Net Metering & Battery Storage. These types of Solar Systems are best suited for areas with daily load shedding or power cuts of 2-6 hours in which case they need ON DEMAND Solar Power during such power cuts and also wish to export surplus energy to the grid for reducing their energy consumption & bills. These systems are designed in a way that they have minimum battery storage to suffice energy needs during power cuts and come with Net Metering facility which allows the customer to export surplus energy over & above their consumption as well as after recharging the battery bank supplied with it.
These kinds of systems may or may not be supported by any type of SUBSIDY or GRANT (STATE SPECIFIC Policies) however offer depreciation & other tax benefits to the end customer.
Mostly popular amongst residential customers in the HILLS where daily power outages of 1-2 hours are common and due to the extreme weather conditions they face, they always required on demand power via Battery Backup.
